About Ylala
Photography should be easy to book — even when you’re thousands of kilometres from home.

Why Ylala exists
Booking a photographer in a city you don’t know shouldn’t take days of emails. Usually it does: the price arrives last, the portfolio is hard to judge, and nobody can tell you whether the photographer has ever worked where you’ll be standing.
What we do
We connect travellers with vetted photographers who live and work in the destinations they photograph. You choose the place, the session and the date; we reply with a photographer, their availability and the price, in writing, before anything is booked.
What we focus on
- 01
Local expertise
Photographers who live where they shoot: they know the empty hour, the light and where to go when it rains.
- 02
Beautiful photography
Every photographer is reviewed on published client work before joining — a whole gallery, not five good frames.
- 03
Clear pricing
A starting price for every session, the same in every destination, and your exact price in writing before you book.
- 04
Simple booking
Five questions, a minute, and no deposit to ask. Reply on WhatsApp or by email — whichever you prefer.
- 05
Reliable delivery
Edited photographs in a private online gallery within 48–72 hours, kept online for at least six months.

Ylala is a booking network rather than a studio. We do not employ photographers or send them out from a head office; we vet people who already work professionally in their own city, and we take responsibility for the parts of a booking that usually go wrong — the price, the schedule and the delivery.
Admission turns on published work rather than on a portfolio assembled for us. We look for a body of paid client sessions in the categories being applied for, consistency across a whole gallery instead of five strong frames, and colour work that holds up on ordinary skin in ordinary light. We ask how they handle the things nobody photographs on purpose: rain on a wedding morning, a two-year-old who will not sit, a conference room with one window and a deadline.
What we hold ourselves to is narrower and easier to check. The price is agreed in writing before the session and does not move afterwards. Editing is included, and there is no charge per extra photograph. The private gallery arrives within forty-eight to seventy-two hours in full resolution, with a licence to print and post it. Enquiring costs nothing and requires no deposit, and if the weather turns we move the session at no cost.
Frequently asked questions
How do you choose your photographers?
We review published client work in the categories they apply for, look for consistency across whole galleries, and only admit photographers who live and work in the destination they photograph.
Is the price really fixed?
Yes. The price on your written quote is the price you pay. It covers the session, the editing and the private gallery; options such as a longer session are quoted before you book.
When do I get my photos?
Your edited photographs arrive in a private online gallery within 48–72 hours of the session.
What if my plans change?
A postponement requested more than 30 days ahead is free, once. For outdoor sessions, either side can propose a new date up to 24 hours before if the weather makes the shoot impossible.
Which cities do you cover?
Ten cities where the work is mostly local, and twelve destinations people travel to — from Paris and Lyon to Provence, the Alps and the Normandy coast.
